KOICA Launches "Integrity KOICA Challenge" to Promote Anti-Corruption and Integrity Culture
Word Game and Relay Challenge
Spreading a Culture of Integrity Together
[Asia Economy, Reporter Lim Cheolyoung] On September 8, KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) announced the launch of the "Integrity KOICA Challenge (ChK Challenge)" to promote a culture of integrity in collaboration with the public.
Taking into account the COVID-19 situation, this challenge will be conducted online. It was designed to encourage participation from a wide range of people by drawing inspiration from a well-known Korean word game (such as "the manager of the soy sauce factory"), making it easy and fun for all age groups to join. The challenge is structured as a relay, where each participant nominates the next challenger, so that the culture of integrity can spread from individuals to their communities.
To participate, individuals must record a video of themselves pronouncing an integrity-related phrase prepared by KOICA quickly and accurately within 8 seconds. They then post the video on social networking services (SNS) with the required hashtags (#IntegrityKOICA, #KOICA, #WeKO, #ChKChallenge), and tag friends to continue the challenge.
Anyone can participate until September 13, and KOICA plans to give away random boxes containing various promotional items to selected participants through a drawing.
This challenge will also feature 120 members of the second cohort of WeKO, KOICA’s national supporters group launched in July, who will join KOICA in raising public awareness about the importance of anti-corruption and a culture of integrity.
Park Sangjin, Head of Public Relations at KOICA, stated, "With the prolonged spread of COVID-19 leaving many people exhausted, we designed this non-face-to-face challenge as an opportunity for people to share a laugh with friends and reflect on integrity. KOICA will continue to strive to foster a culture of integrity that resonates with the public."
