Two More COVID-19 Deaths Reported... Total Domestic Deaths Reach 338
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] The number of deaths from the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has increased by two.
According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters on the 7th, two confirmed COVID-19 patients died while receiving treatment after midnight, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 338.
A 78-year-old woman who was diagnosed on the 31st of last month died while receiving treatment at Seoul Medical Center.
An 84-year-old man who was being treated at Boramae Hospital in Seoul also passed away. This man died on the 6th but was reflected in the statistics on this day.
Excluding the two additional deaths counted on this day, a total of 25 people who were confirmed with COVID-19 and died during treatment or were confirmed posthumously have been reported in the past two weeks from August 23 to September 5.
Regarding the age groups of the deceased, those in their 80s were the most numerous with 12, followed by 8 in their 70s, 4 in their 90s, and 1 in their 60s, all aged 60 or older.
