Maechon Library Develops and Produces 'Our Neighborhood Humanities Geography' for Humanities on the Road Program
[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 7th that it has been selected as an institution to promote the 2020 Our Neighborhood Humanities Education Material Development Project conducted by the Korean Library Association this year.
The Our Neighborhood Humanities Education Material Development Project is a project in which Maechun Library in Gurye-gun, together with local humanities activist and researcher Lim Hyun-su (Jirisan-ssi Cooperative), publishes a storytelling-type human geography book about village culture from the 1st of this month until the end of November. Materials on the history of Gurye Eupseong, changes in the commercial district of old shops, and stories of local residents will be made into a digital booklet.
Also, with phased support over two years, in 2021 a single volume will be published and video content will be produced, and the results will be used as humanities education materials at Maechun Library and preserved as archival materials.
