According to the county, the 3rd confirmed case in Haman attended a business briefing at Dongchungha Elementary School in Daegu on the 29th of last month. The confirmed patient visited the Haman Public Health Center's screening clinic and was diagnosed positive on the same day. The patient is currently receiving treatment at Masan Medical Center. It is known that the patient was asymptomatic on the day of testing.
After attending the business briefing, the 3rd confirmed case commuted to their office located in Masanhwoin-gu, Changwon, from their home using the rural bus number 114-1, departing at 10 a.m. from the 3rd to the 4th. The patient left work at 5:30 p.m. and took the rural bus number 114-1 from Masan Post Office at 5:40 p.m. to return home.
Additionally, there are 10 close contacts of the 3rd confirmed case in Haman, including three family members such as spouse and son, and seven visitors to the office. Among them, three family members and one local visitor tested negative and are currently under self-quarantine, while six others reside in Changwon and have been transferred to Changwon City authorities.
As of now, the total number of confirmed cases in Haman County is three, with two fully recovered. There are 43 individuals under self-quarantine, including 26 contacts of confirmed cases and 17 overseas entrants.
Jo Geun-je, the mayor of Haman County, emphasized that the social distancing level 2 has been extended until the 20th and urged the residents for voluntary and active cooperation in adhering to quarantine guidelines.

Mayor Jo stated, “For the sake of yourself, your family, and neighbors, please refrain from gatherings, events, and travel for the time being, and strictly follow daily quarantine rules such as proper mask-wearing.” He added, “This Chuseok, please refrain from visiting your hometowns with children and relatives, and also entrust grave cleaning to service companies as much as possible. We ask for your active interest and cooperation in promoting a quiet Chuseok.”
