Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Selects 139 Teachers from 48 Private Schools Through Commissioned Recruitment
Linkage with Public School Teacher Employment Examination
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education will commission the selection of 139 teachers for 48 private schools.
On the 7th, the Seoul Office of Education announced that it will conduct the first round of the 2021 academic year new teacher appointment exam for private schools, commissioned by 30 corporations, in conjunction with the public school teacher appointment exam.
The number of schools scheduled for appointment includes 3 elementary schools, 11 middle schools, 30 high schools, and 4 special schools, totaling 48 schools. The planned number of recruits is 3 for elementary, 2 for special kindergartens, 6 for special elementary, and 128 for secondary schools.
The commissioned selection of private school teachers has been conducted by the Office of Education since 2012, with participation rates increasing every year. The number of corporations requesting commissioned selection increased significantly from 8 corporations and 11 schools in the 2016 academic year to 33 corporations and 52 schools this year. The number of recruits also rose from 40 to 140 during the same period.
