Daegu City Issues 'Gathering Ban' Administrative Measures on 29 Colatec Locations... Exceeding One Person per Pyeong Limit
Special Inspection by Daegu City and Police Following Strengthened Social Distancing Level 2 Implementation
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City announced on the 6th that it has issued an 'assembly ban' administrative order to 29 establishments that violated quarantine rules following a special inspection of 'Colatec' venues subject to social distancing gathering restrictions.
Daegu City, which formed a special crackdown team together with district and county offices and the police, conducted a special joint inspection over two days on the 4th and 5th at 37 Colatec venues in the area. It identified 29 establishments that violated key quarantine rules and notified them of the assembly ban administrative order effective until midnight on the 10th.
Unlike most metropolitan governments that imposed 'assembly bans' on high-risk multi-use facility industries when upgrading to 'Social Distancing Level 2 Enhanced' on the 23rd of last month, Daegu City maintained the level of 'assembly restrictions.' However, it mandated additional quarantine rules limiting the number of users (one person per 4㎡) only for clubs, emotional pubs, and Colatecs.
