2 Cases Related to Seongrim Baptist Church and 2 Undetected Confirmed Cases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Another 'unknown' confirmed case with an unclear infection route has occurred in Gwangju. The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the region has reached 398, approaching 400.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 3rd, a total of 4 people were confirmed positive, including 2 related to Seongnim Baptist Church in Buk-gu and 2 with unidentified infection routes, classified as cases 395 to 398.
Cases 395 and 396 are a woman in her 50s living in Munheung-dong, Buk-gu, and a woman in her 30s living in Sinyong-dong, Buk-gu, respectively, both with infection routes still unknown.
Cases 397 and 398 are a woman in her 40s and a man in his 60s residing in Sansu-dong, Dong-gu, and Gakhwa-dong, Buk-gu, respectively.
All are related to Seongnim Baptist Church in Buk-gu and showed symptoms during self-quarantine, leading to testing that confirmed positive results.
Among the 398 confirmed cases in the Gwangju area since February, 2 have died, 130 are currently receiving treatment, and 262 have recovered and been discharged.
As of 6 p.m. on the day, 129,841 people have been tested, with 531 currently awaiting results.
There are 8,678 contacts of confirmed cases, of whom 2,321 are in quarantine.
