[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education announced on the 2nd that it is conducting a personality evaluation for 89 candidates for the 2020 administrative officer promotion over a period of ten days until the 10th.
The personality evaluation system, which began on the 1st, is a system being implemented for the first time this year at the Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education following improvements to the local government personnel system last year. This evaluation is conducted through an online survey by an external professional organization, with 20 general and educational public officials who have worked for more than six months and less than seven years participating as the personality evaluation panel.
The evaluation panel will receive surveys from a total of 1,780 people within the organization regarding ten items that candidates for promotion should possess as managers, including character, interpersonal relationships, and leadership. The results will be reflected by 10% in the overall score for the administrative officer promotion review.
Candidates who fail to achieve a combined score of 70 or higher?calculated by adding the survey evaluation score and deductions for factors such as tax delinquency and traffic violations to measure compliance?will be excluded at the time of the personnel committee’s promotion decision regardless of their candidate list (60%) and group discussion (30%) scores.
