Korea Forest Service Issues Nationwide Landslide Warning Level 'Caution'
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Forest Service announced on the 2nd that, as of 7 a.m., it will raise the landslide crisis alert to ‘Warning’ for all 17 cities and provinces nationwide.
This measure comes as Typhoon No. 9 ‘Maysak’ approaches the Korean Peninsula, placing the entire region under the typhoon’s indirect influence, with heavy rain expected due to clouds formed north of the typhoon, increasing the risk of landslides.
Earlier, the Korea Forest Service had issued a ‘Warning’ landslide crisis alert for Jeju at 7 p.m. on the 1st.
