‘Jeju Gonghang Geuncheo Byeonsache’ Murder Suspect Arrested
Man in his 20s Caught in Parking Lot in Seogwipo City on the Night of the 31st
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Jeju Western Police announced on the 1st that they have apprehended suspect B (29, male) on charges of murdering A (39, female) in a grassy area near Jeju International Airport.
According to the police, B was urgently arrested around 10:50 PM on the 31st at a parking lot in Seogwipo City. During the investigation, B admitted to all facts, stating that he committed the crime to secure living expenses.
The police are investigating B in detail regarding the motive and other circumstances of the crime.
Meanwhile, A was attacked on the night of the 30th while returning home after finishing work at a convenience store in Dodudong, Jeju City. Her family reported her missing to the police around 12:25 AM on the 31st when she did not return home.

Subsequently, A’s lifeless body was found by a passerby in a grassy area near Jeju International Airport. At the time of discovery, A had been stabbed multiple times and was deceased.
