Miryang City Opens National Public 'Miryanggang Prugio Daycare Center'
Establishing a Public Childcare Foundation Parents Can Trust and Rely On
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced on the 1st that it will open the public national and public daycare center 'Miryanggang Prugio Daycare Center' within the Prugio Apartment in Gagok-dong to create a safe and pleasant childcare environment.
Miryanggang Prugio Daycare Center is a national and public daycare center that is mandatorily installed in newly built apartment complexes with more than 500 households according to the 2019 revision of the Infant and Toddler Act, and it is the first daycare center to open in Miryang City.
The city signed an installation and operation agreement with Prugio Apartment in December 2019, selected a consignment body in April 2020, and supported remodeling costs and equipment purchase costs of 120 million KRW.
The Miryanggang Prugio Daycare Center has a capacity of 44 children, with 12 staff members including the director and childcare teachers. The interior was remodeled mainly using cypress wood to create a pleasant childcare environment where children can focus on classes and play activities.
