New Director of Seogwipo Medical Center: Former Hanil Hospital Director Park Hyun-su

View original image[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Chang-won] Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 31st that Park Hyun-soo, former director of Hanil Hospital in Seoul, was appointed as the new director of Seogwipo Medical Center as of August 30.
Seogwipo Medical Center is the only public medical center in Seogwipo City, Jeju, which opened in 1965 and has since developed into a public medical facility with 300 beds.
New director Park Hyun-soo graduated from Hanyang University College of Medicine and Kyung Hee University Graduate School of Medicine. He served as the director of Hanil Hospital and as the executive director and management committee chairman of the Korea Hospital Association.
A total of five candidates applied for this open director recruitment, and the governor made the final appointment decision from among multiple recommended candidates who passed the document and interview screening by the executive recommendation committee.
Director Park will oversee all aspects of the operation of Seogwipo Medical Center for three years from August 30, 2023, to August 29, 2026.

Director Park said, “I will develop Seogwipo Medical Center, the only general hospital in the southern mountain region of Jeju, as a regional public hospital for the citizens,” adding, “I will do my best to provide high-quality medical services and eliminate medical blind spots.”
