The money contributed little by little by all employees grew considerably, and from this amount, they generously purchased bedding and fans worth 8 million won in one day.
The Busan Southern Branch of the National Health Insurance Service gifted bedding and fans worth 8 million won on the 31st to about 150 households of residents and small business owners in Munhyeon-dong, which was flooded by the recent heavy rain.
They provided urgently needed bedding and fans to residents and small business owners in Munhyeon 2-dong, Nam-gu, who are struggling with daily life due to flood damage caused by continuous heavy rain and the Dongcheon River overflow.
The donated items were prepared through a social contribution fund raised by the voluntary participation of employees every month.
Kang Jin-seok, head of the Busan Southern Branch of the National Health Insurance Service, said, “We hope that local residents who are struggling due to COVID-19 and flood damage can return to their daily lives as soon as possible, and that the donated items from the Service will be a great help and comfort amid the ongoing heatwave.”
