A Man in His 50s Arrested for Assaulting Bus Passenger and Police Officer Demanding Mask Wearing
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] A man in his 50s who assaulted a passenger demanding mask-wearing on a bus and also assaulted a police officer who arrived after a report was made has been apprehended by the police.
The Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency announced on the 31st that they have arrested and are investigating A (54) on charges of assault and obstruction of official duties for injuring a bus passenger and a police officer.
A is accused of assaulting a bus passenger and a police officer inside an intercity bus bound for Suncheon, which was stopped at a bus stop in Beolgyo-eup, Boseong-gun, Jeonnam, around 12:40 PM on the 28th.

Additionally, when police officer C (46), a sergeant from the Beolgyo Police Substation who arrived after the report, tried to stop the assault, A punched Sergeant C in the face, causing injury.
