Pohang City Reports One Person Who Disappeared After Refusing Testing Following Gwanghwamun Rally Attendance
Testing Completed for 440 out of 441 Subjects
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Pohang City, Gyeongbuk, announced on the 30th that it reported one person who attended the Gwanghwamun rally held on Liberation Day and did not undergo testing for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) to the police.
According to Pohang City, out of 441 citizens who attended the Gwanghwamun rally on the 15th, 440 underwent COVID-19 diagnostic testing. One person was confirmed positive, and the rest were all confirmed negative. The remaining one person who refused testing and went into hiding has been reported on charges of violating the "Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act."

A Pohang City health official said, "We appreciate the cooperation of those who promptly underwent testing," and urged, "Please demonstrate mature civic awareness by actively participating in self-directed quarantine, including wearing masks and thoroughly following personal hygiene rules."
