KMA "Indefinite General Strike Starting from the 7th of Next Month" (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The Korean Medical Association (KMA) will begin an indefinite general strike on the 7th of next month. If the demands of the medical community are not accepted, the third nationwide doctors' general strike will be carried out indefinitely starting from the 7th of next month.
On the 28th, KMA President Choi Dae-jip announced this decision at a press conference held at the temporary KMA building in Yongsan, following the results of the meeting of the Special Committee for Combating the Four Major Evils in the Medical Sector (Special Committee).

President Choi stated, "The Ministry of Health and Welfare's prosecution of 10 medical residents and the recent complaint filed by the Fair Trade Commission are acts of unjust public authority," adding, "We will respond using all available means."
