Lee Seung-gi's agency, Hook Entertainment, revealed on the 28th through their official website the final verdict delivered on the 19th regarding the malicious commenters and the additional progress made.
The agency stated, "Among the lawsuits, in the case where the verdict was delivered on August 19, 2020, at the Sangju branch of Daegu District Court, the court sentenced the malicious commenter to a heavy fine of 5 million KRW, which has been finalized. In addition to the fine, we are also considering civil claims for damages," emphasizing that they will hold the malicious commenters fully accountable both criminally and civilly.
They continued, "For the remaining lawsuits where the suspects have been identified, the prosecution has suspended indictment (issued a wanted notice) due to the suspects being missing. Although there are specific malicious commenters whose families have pleaded for leniency, we are proceeding to ensure that legal measures are taken without any settlements," they reported.
Furthermore, "By integrating the reports from fans and our own monitoring data, we are preparing additional lawsuits against malicious commenters together with the law firm Liu, and will soon file them," they added, pledging to take all possible legal actions to protect the honor of their artists in the future.
