Boseong-gun Initiates Installation of 'Flashing Traffic Safety Signs' in Child Protection Zones
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 28th that, in accordance with the enforcement of the 'Partial Amendment to the Road Traffic Act,' it began installing solar-powered optical fiber luminous traffic safety signs in school zones and child protection areas starting in June to prevent child traffic accidents.
The newly installed luminous signs are expected to help reduce traffic accidents by emitting their own light at night, and they have the advantage of being eco-friendly and sustainable as they are energy self-sufficient using solar power.
Boseong-gun has completed the installation of five luminous signs at two child protection zones: Donghwanara Daycare Center and Saessak Daycare Center, and plans to install 20 more by the end of this year.
