Jeonbuk Bank Launches 'Foreigners-Only G-Money Trans Partnership Check Card'
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] JB Financial Group Jeonbuk Bank announced that starting from the 28th, it will launch a new foreigner-exclusive co-branded check card in partnership with the mobile overseas remittance service provider GMoneyTrans.
GMoneyTrans is a fintech company that offers convenient mobile overseas remittance services with low fees to foreign workers residing in Korea.
The newly launched GMoneyTrans check card can be issued to foreigners residing in Korea (with E-9 visa status). To accommodate foreign workers who find it difficult to visit the bank, a 'non-visit service' through non-face-to-face video calls is provided. Foreign members wishing to apply can easily request a Jeonbuk Bank account and check card by clicking the card application banner on the GMoneyTrans mobile app using their own smartphone.

The card offers a 2% cashback service for daily life-related sectors preferred by foreigners, such as convenience stores, online shopping, and cafes. The cashback service is provided up to a maximum of 5,000 KRW per month if the previous month's spending exceeds 300,000 KRW. Additionally, with T-money prepaid transportation functionality, users can conveniently use public transportation such as subways and buses.
