SK Group Provides Four Training Centers in the Seoul Metropolitan Area as COVID-19 Treatment Centers
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] SK Group will provide four training centers located in the Seoul metropolitan area as COVID-19 residential treatment centers.
On the 28th, SK Group announced that to address the shortage of hospital beds in the Seoul metropolitan area due to the resurgence of COVID-19, it will provide a total of 321 rooms across four training centers within the group as residential treatment centers starting from that day.
The targeted facilities are the group training centers: SK Academy (Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do), SK Telecom Talent Development Center (Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do), SK Muui Training Center (Incheon), and SK Broadband Talent Development Center (Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do). The Ministry of the Interior and Safety plans to gradually accommodate asymptomatic and mild patients at these facilities in coordination with local governments and others.

An SK official stated, "As COVID-19 is rapidly spreading mainly in the Seoul metropolitan area recently, we decided to provide the group training center facilities to minimize damage." Previously, in March when confirmed COVID-19 cases surged, SK also provided a total of 174 rooms at the SK Telecom Talent Development Center and SK Muui Training Center as temporary living facilities for overseas arrivals.
