On August 27, members of the Shincheonji Jesus Church Daegu congregation are making the second group plasma donation for the rapid development of COVID-19 treatment at the Daegu Athletics Promotion Center in Suseong-gu, Daegu.

It has been 6 months and 10 days since the first confirmed case from Shincheonji was reported on February 18 this year.
According to Daegu City on the 28th, as of midnight, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Daegu was 7,007 (6,839 local infections, 68 imported cases), an increase of 8 from the previous day.
Among the additional confirmed cases, 6 were identified through contact testing related to the Gwanghwamun rally, and 2 were a radiology technician at Dong-A Medi Hospital in Jisan-dong, Suseong-gu, and his wife.
Among the confirmed cases related to the Gwanghwamun rally, it is known that the wife of a pastor from a church in Dong-gu and their children in 1st and 3rd grades attending Shina Middle School were included. All 262 students and 69 staff members of the middle school tested negative in the investigation.
Regarding the confirmed radiology technician at Dong-A Medi Hospital in Jisan-dong, Suseong-gu, testing is currently underway for about 350 inpatients and staff.
