Lotte Confectionery Raises Prices of 'Mok Candy' and 'Chaltteok Pie' by an Average of 10.8%
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Lotte Confectionery announced on the 28th that it will sequentially raise the prices of throat candies and Chaltteok Pie by an average of 10.8% starting from the 1st of next month.
The throat candy in the gap type will increase by 200 won from 800 won to 1,000 won based on the suggested retail price. Large-capacity products will maintain their prices but reduce their volume. The round container type throat candy will be reduced from 137g to 122g, and the large stick type will be reduced from 243g to 217g.
Chaltteok Pie will reduce its volume. The 6-piece pack has been reduced from 225g to 210g, and the 10-piece pack from 375g to 350g.
