An Octogenarian Couple in Cheongsan-myeon, Wando-gun Tests Positive for COVID-19

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 27th that a couple in their 80s, Mr. and Mrs. A, residing in Cheongsan-myeon, tested positive for COVID-19.
The couple visited their daughter's house in Gwanak-gu, Seoul on the 16th and came into contact with four acquaintances of their daughter. After returning to Cheongsan-myeon on the 21st by express bus, taxi, passenger ship, and rural bus, the couple showed suspected symptoms of COVID-19.
Among the daughter's acquaintances contacted in Seoul, three were confirmed positive, and the Gwanak-gu Public Health Center notified Wando Health Medical Center, where Mr. and Mrs. A underwent COVID-19 testing.
They tested positive in both the first and second tests and were finally classified as confirmed cases.
Meanwhile, three residents of Cheongsan-myeon who had contact with Mr. and Mrs. A tested negative and are currently under self-quarantine.
