Three Broadcasting and Communication Product Testing Institutions Designated Including Korea Photonics Technology Institute
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] The Ministry of Science and ICT's National Radio Research Agency announced on the 28th that it has designated the Korea Photonics Technology Institute (located in Gwangju), the Robot Industry Promotion Institute (located in Daegu), and the Lighting ICT Research Institute (located in Bucheon) as testing institutions for broadcasting and communication products.
The three newly designated institutions will test whether products related to the 4th Industrial Revolution, including intelligent lighting, robots, and smart farm devices, cause malfunctions or radio interference with other electrical and electronic products.
In particular, the Korea Photonics Technology Institute is the first testing and certification institution in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region. It is expected to contribute to the expansion of the regional radio infrastructure.
