Daegu City, Detailed Guidelines for Social Distancing Level 2 at 'Wedding Halls' ... Effective from This Weekend
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Daegu City announced on the 27th that it has established detailed guidelines to prevent confusion among engaged couples and wedding/event companies following the implementation of Level 2 social distancing due to the resurgence of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Weddings must be held with fewer than 50 people indoors and fewer than 100 people outdoors, in accordance with the gathering and event personnel limits. This number includes the hosts (groom and bride) and all related guests, excluding the wedding venue staff. It is not permitted to arbitrarily divide the space by installing temporary partitions or similar.
Masks must be worn indoors. When taking group commemorative photos, a distance of at least 1 meter must be maintained and masks must be worn. However, exceptions to mask-wearing apply restrictively for the groom and bride, such as when entering.
If food is inevitably provided, the limit of fewer than 50 people and maintaining at least 1 meter distance must be observed, and the menu can be served as individual dishes rather than buffet style.
Regarding cancellation fees at wedding venues, member wedding companies of the Korea Wedding Industry Association will, following the Fair Trade Commission's request on the 20th, allow consumers to postpone their wedding date by up to six months without penalty. These "Detailed Guidelines for Level 2 Social Distancing at Wedding Venues" will be applied for two weeks starting this weekend.
