Changwon City Selected as Project Operator for Local ICT Company 'Innovation Data Center Construction'

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 27th that the contractor for the 'Innovative Data Center Construction' project, one of the core projects of the Gyeongnam Changwon Smart Industrial Complex Development Project, has been finally selected.
The contractor, I-Works Co., Ltd. consortium, which will establish the data ecosystem of Changwon National Industrial Complex, consists of 11 organizations including 9 local ICT companies in the Changwon area, Changwon National University, and Taerim Industry Co., Ltd.
The 9 ICT companies will perform data collection, corporate consulting, and cloud service development. Taerim Industry Co., Ltd. will provide an MDCG dedicated space, a visible area where the data flow of smart factories can be directly observed, and Changwon National University will take on the roles of forming regional networks and nurturing human resources.
The 'Innovative Data Center Construction Project' is a project that will invest a total of 18 billion KRW over three years, including 10 billion KRW from the national government, 3 billion KRW from the provincial government, 3 billion KRW from the city government, and 2 billion KRW from the private sector, to build an innovative data center platform and create a manufacturing data ecosystem through data collection, processing, and analysis.
