[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Standards Association (President Lee Sang-jin) announced on the 27th that it is entrusted with conducting the '2020 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Expert Training Course' operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education starting this year, in partnership with ELICE (CEO Kim Jae-won).
This training is part of the 'Seoul Specialized High Schools Future Education Development Plan' announced by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education in November last year, aiming to cultivate specialized teachers in preparation for the operation of AI departments targeting a total of 10 specialized high schools from 2021.
The entire training course, conducted over 300 hours for 80 vocational high school teachers, is divided into online and offline education, with offline education replaced by video conferencing due to the impact of COVID-19. The overall operation of the curriculum is managed by the Korea Standards Association, and the online courses utilize the ELICE platform.
