Daejeon City Inspects Quarantine Status of Charter Buses Operating for Gwanghwamun Rally
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City will inspect the quarantine status of charter buses that transported attendees to the Gwanghwamun rally on Liberation Day, August 15.
The city announced on the 26th that it will conduct a comprehensive quarantine inspection of 34 charter bus transportation companies within the jurisdiction by the 31st.
The comprehensive inspection is being carried out with the ongoing occurrence of confirmed cases of COVID-19 related to the Gwanghwamun rally in mind.
The main inspection items include whether transportation workers have received education on infectious disease prevention, the availability of hand sanitizers and quarantine supplies inside vehicles, whether transportation workers wear masks and have their temperature checked before starting operation, and whether vehicles are disinfected after operation ends.
Along with the comprehensive inspection, the city plans to guide all charter bus transportation workers, except for those operating regular commuting vehicles, to thoroughly prepare and keep passenger lists.
In particular, based on the results of the quarantine inspection of charter bus companies, transportation workers who did not undergo COVID-19 testing related to the Gwanghwamun rally operations will be encouraged to get tested, and corrective measures will be taken for any insufficient quarantine practices.
