Gokseong-gun Urgently Supplies Feed to Livestock Farms Affected by Flood Damage
Gokseong County and Gokseong Livestock Cooperative Urgently Supply 47t of Sawdust and 77t of TMR Feed
Jeonnam Forage Management Association Also Provides 288t of Forage Support
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do is making efforts to support feed for livestock farms affected by flood damage.
On the 26th, according to Gokseong-gun and Gokseong Livestock Cooperative, 47 tons of sawdust and 77 tons of TMR feed were urgently supplied to livestock farms struggling due to the flood damage.
In addition, various support is being provided in each sector to enable the livestock industry to resume stably as soon as possible, including disposal of dead livestock, manure treatment, medical support, and disinfection inside livestock barns.
Other organizations also supported forage to help livestock farms ease their burdens. The Jeonnam Forage Management Association urgently supplied 288 tons (576 rolls) of forage to livestock farms damaged by barn flooding and Hanwoo cattle deaths due to heavy rain.
The forage donated from Yeongam, Hwasun, Hampyeong, and Muan was delivered to the affected farms.
Jung Wuntae, president of the Jeonnam Forage Management Association, said, “We hope this will help stabilize the management of Hanwoo farms even a little and that they can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”
