'Kakao T Bike' Runs Throughout Songpa-gu
2nd Generation Kakao T Bike with Enhanced GPS Signal Reception
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Kakao Mobility announced on the 16th that it will expand the 'Kakao T Bike' service area, which was previously available in some areas such as Wirye-dong, Bokjeong Station, and Jangji Station in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to the entire Songpa-gu district.
Songpa-gu was one of the top five areas with the highest number of users who responded as desired introduction areas in a survey conducted by Kakao Mobility last July targeting 4 million Kakao T Plus Friends users regarding the desired areas for introducing Kakao T Bike.
In Songpa-gu, users can experience the newly introduced 2nd generation Kakao T Bike this year. The 2nd generation bike offers a more stable riding experience with enhanced durability of the chain, saddle, and tires compared to the previous model. Additionally, the GPS reception sensitivity of the lock device has improved, allowing users to quickly locate Kakao T Bikes even when the bikes are behind large pillars or between high-rise buildings where GPS signals are weak.
To use the service, users can check the location of nearby electric bikes on the Kakao T application, then scan the QR code attached to the bike or enter the device serial number into the app. After reaching the destination, users park the bike in a safe location and lock it to end the usage, and the fee is automatically charged.
