Serial Bombings in the Philippines... At Least 10 Dead

According to local media, the first explosion occurred around 11:55 a.m. at a motorcycle parked in front of a grocery store on Jolo Island, Sulu Province, Philippines. Around 1 p.m., a second explosion took place about 700 meters away from the first site.

It was reported that military trucks were parked near the explosion sites. As a result, local military authorities reported that at least 10 people, including 6 soldiers and 4 civilians, were killed and about 40 were injured. Authorities believe the attack was likely carried out by the Abu Sayyaf rebel group active mainly in the southern Philippines.
