Urgent Deployment of 393 'Life Quarantine Personnel' to Each School in Yongin City
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province has deployed 생활방역 personnel to kindergartens and elementary, middle, and high schools within the city.
On the 24th, Yongin City announced that it had assigned 393 생활방역 personnel to 197 elementary, middle, and high schools and kindergartens in preparation for second semester in-person classes.
The 생활방역 personnel will assist with daily quarantine measures to ensure the safety of students and facilitate smooth operations for school staff.
The number of personnel assigned to each school ranged from 1 to 5, based on the number of enrolled students and commuting conditions of the workers.
From November 1st through the end of November, these personnel will work 4 hours a day for 3 months, performing tasks such as disinfecting school facilities, checking visitors' temperatures, controlling access of outsiders, and guiding daily social distancing practices.
To this end, the city recruited personnel in two phases through the Hope Job Project until the 31st of last month.

Baek Gun-gi, Mayor of Yongin City, stated, "We have deployed quarantine support personnel to each school to prevent COVID-19 and ensure that our students can learn in a safe environment."
