Amorepacific Successfully Concludes Digital Environment Camp 'Love the Earth'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] The digital environmental camp "2020 Love the Earth," hosted by Amorepacific and co-organized by the Environmental Education Center, successfully concluded with an online graduation ceremony on the 22nd.
Fifty elementary school students from 15 cities across Korea and Malaysia participated in this environmental camp, which was conducted in an untact (contactless) format to ensure the safety of participants amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Over approximately six weeks (July 11 to August 22), participants engaged in online video sessions from home with expert mentors in various environmental fields such as upcycling and climate change. They held themed discussions and received content creation mentoring from video experts, transforming into ‘AP Eco Creators’.
During the online graduation ceremony held on the 22nd, participants showcased environmental films they had filmed and produced while completing various missions under the theme of ‘Plastic Free’?such as having a meal without plastic, writing a plastic diary, and plogging. The ceremony also included the awarding of honorary employee certificates from Amorepacific.
Amorepacific Group Chairman Suh Kyung-bae sent a surprise congratulatory video message to the participants, saying, “I believe this environmental camp has been a meaningful time for you to realize that every small action you take has a significant impact on the natural environment we share.”
