CJ Olive Young "No Store Entry Without Mask Starting Today"
Disease Control Headquarters Action Guidelines
"For the Protection of Customers and Employees"
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] From today, customers who do not wear masks will not be able to use Olive Young stores.
CJ Olive Young announced on the 24th that wearing masks inside stores will be mandatory. Accordingly, customers without masks will be restricted from entering and using the stores.
CJ Olive Young has strengthened its existing policy, which recommended customers wear masks based on the guidelines from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, to protect customers and employees from the risk of spreading the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Additionally, to ensure customers wear masks at all times, an announcement requesting mask-wearing will be broadcast every 15 minutes. When testing cosmetics, direct application to the skin is discouraged, and customers are asked to use the provided ‘color tester papers’ while wearing masks.
Detailed safety measures inside stores have also been enhanced. To minimize indoor infection risks caused by air conditioning, store ventilation, which was conducted every two hours, has been increased to every hour. Contactless payment terminals, where customers insert their credit cards themselves, have been installed in all stores to block cross-infection through credit cards. Additional disinfectants are provided to prevent infections through shopping baskets inside stores.
Furthermore, to maintain safe distances between customers during payment, the ‘footprint stickers’ currently implemented in about 30 stores nationwide will be expanded to all stores. The ‘Handwashing Campaign,’ allowing customers to freely wash their hands anytime at seven large stores equipped with faucets, will also continue.
