Yangcheon-gu, 3 Additional COVID-19 Confirmed Cases Reported
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) reported 3 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases on the 23rd. These are the 104th, 105th, and 106th confirmed cases.
Confirmed case Yangcheon 104, Mr. A (resident of Sinwol 7-dong), developed coughing symptoms after contact with confirmed case Yangcheon 94; confirmed case Yangcheon 105, Mr. B (resident of Mok 1-dong), developed coughing symptoms after contact with confirmed case Yangcheon 97; and confirmed case Yangcheon 106, Mr. C (resident of Sinjeong 4-dong), developed chills after contact with a confirmed case in Jung-gu. All were tested at the Yangcheon-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the 22nd and received positive results on the 23rd.
Yangcheon-gu requested hospital beds from Seoul City for their transfer and guided 1 cohabitant of Mr. A, 3 cohabitants of Mr. B, and 1 cohabitant of Mr. C to undergo self-quarantine and testing.
They also announced that once detailed epidemiological investigations reveal public movement paths, these will be promptly disclosed through the Yangcheon-gu blog.
As a result, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Yangcheon-gu reached 106 as of the 23rd.

Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, stated, “Due to the explosive increase in confirmed cases, the social distancing Level 2, which was limited to the metropolitan area, has been expanded nationwide. This is a time when social distancing for mutual safety is more necessary than ever. We ask all residents to refrain from all outings except essential ones and to strictly follow personal prevention measures such as hand washing and wearing masks when going out is unavoidable.”
