Over five days since the 16th, 27 people (including 1 imported case) have tested positive.
According to Daegu City on the 22nd, 9 new cases were confirmed in one day yesterday. All of these are community transmission cases. Among them, 3 were confirmed on the morning of the 21st, and Daegu City classified only 6 additional cases as new positives in the announcement on the 22nd (based on 10 a.m. to midnight on the 21st).
Among the 6, one is a participant of the Gwanghwamun rally (a woman in her 60s from Suseong-gu). A man in his 20s living in Seo-gu was confirmed positive after recently traveling with acquaintances, and his infection route has not yet been identified.
Four people were confirmed positive through contact testing with confirmed cases. Among them, a couple living in Dalseo-gu (a man in his 70s and a woman in her 60s) were infected after contact with a confirmed case from Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, who visited Daegu to attend a family funeral.
With 6 additional confirmed cases on this day, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Daegu as of midnight on the 22nd reached 6,972.
