Police Officer Accused of Sexual Harassment Found Dead While on Suspension
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A police officer in Seoul accused of sexual harassment was found dead at his home.
The Gangseo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 21st that at around 5:50 a.m. that day, A (58), a police inspector affiliated with the Mapo Police Station, was found dead at his residence in Hwagok-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
Inspector A was recently accused of sexual harassment. The complaint was initially filed at the Mapo Police Station where Inspector A was assigned, then transferred to the Eunpyeong Police Station for investigation. Just before his death, Inspector A was placed on standby duty by his police station.
