'Finding a Path in Disaster Psychology' Academic Conference Held Online
Online Korea-China-Japan International Symposium
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] The Korean Psychological Association announced on the 21st that it will hold the 74th Annual Academic Conference online until the 22nd under the theme "The Earth in Crisis: Finding a Way through Psychology in Disasters."
This academic conference will be conducted online, including 1 pre-session, an external symposium, 6 special symposium sessions, 11 sectional symposium sessions, 6 sectional workshop sessions, 4 adolescent psychology classroom sessions, and 1 Korea-China-Japan international symposium session.
The pre-session held the day before was titled "The Practical Necessity and Realization Plan for Legislation of Psychological Services for the People," where discussions were held diagnosing the problems in the operation of domestic psychological services and proposing directions for improvement.
On the 21st, symposiums and workshops were held to explore solutions to various social issues. Specifically, sessions were arranged to psychologically diagnose and seek solutions for current issues facing our society, such as establishing a Korea-style psychological quarantine system, addiction, suicide, psychological trauma, and prevention of digital sex crimes.

On the 22nd, adolescent psychology classrooms and the Korea-China-Japan symposium will be held. Special lectures introducing various fields where psychology can be applied to adolescents, such as artificial intelligence (AI), will be conducted. A representative of the Korean Psychological Association stated, "Such opportunities will greatly contribute to reducing the public's misunderstandings about psychology and promoting popular interest in psychology."
