[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Bank of Korea announced on the 21st that it received purchase orders for 54,835 coins of the 2020 Korean National Park commemorative coins. This is about twice the planned issuance volume of 28,000 coins.
The Bank of Korea accepted purchase reservation applications for the "Korean National Park Commemorative Coins" from the 6th to the 20th of this month.
The competition rate for the 4-coin set was the highest at 2.2 to 1, and among single coins, the Hallasan commemorative coin had the highest competition rate at 1.7 to 1.
The coins have larger specifications compared to previously issued Korean National Park commemorative coins, which is evaluated to have received strong public response.

The Bank of Korea, together with the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation, will hold a lottery on the 28th and announce the winners on the 1st of next month. Winners can check their status on the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation website or at the financial institutions where they applied (Woori Bank, NongHyup Bank).
