Suncheon City Delivers Donation Items to Flood Victims... Small Sharing Becomes Great Hope
Approximately 16 Tons of Extra Clothes, Small Home Appliances, and More Delivered to Help Disaster Victims
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City delivered the items collected through the "Collecting Spare Clothes and Small Home Appliances Campaign" to Hwangjeon-myeon and Gurye-gun on the 20th to help flood victims in these areas affected by the recent heavy rains.
From the 18th to the 19th, over 130 volunteers from nine volunteer organizations participated in sorting the collected items.
Citizens of all ages, from young children to the elderly, took part in donating items. Approximately 16 tons of donated goods, including clothing, blankets, and home appliances filled with the warm hearts of the citizens, were collected, demonstrating the determination of Suncheon citizens to overcome this difficult situation together.
The collected and sorted items will be delivered today to Gurye-gun and Hwangjeon-myeon and distributed to the flood victims.
A Gurye-gun official said, "We are grateful for sharing the difficulties as if they were your own. We will never forget today's helping hands and will always be ready to assist whenever Gurye-gun needs help in the future."
