Jeon Nam-do Councilor Lee Min-jun Visits Flood-Affected Area in Naju Dasim-myeon to Deliver Relief Supplies
Rep. Lee: "Hope to Help with the Double Hardship of Floods and Heatwaves"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Lee Minjun, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Council, announced on the 20th that he visited Dasi-myeon, Naju City, which was damaged by heavy rain on the 19th, and delivered 40 electric fans and other flood relief supplies to Kim Hwayeong, head of Dasi-myeon.
Due to the heavy rain on the 7th and 8th, part of Munpyeongcheon between Gahung-ri and Bogeum-ri in the Dasi-myeon area collapsed, flooding 530 hectares of surrounding farmland and causing damage to crops and livestock, resulting in displaced residents.
Accordingly, Councilor Lee Minjun has been doing his best to support recovery efforts by inspecting the site and checking the restoration status from the time the flooding occurred until now.
In particular, he strongly urged the declaration of a special disaster area to ensure the psychological stability of the displaced residents.
Councilor Lee said, “Although the heatwave began immediately after the heavy rain ended, the flood damaged home appliances, raising concerns about the safety of the displaced residents,” and added, “I hope this helps the flood victims who are suffering double hardships at the recovery sites due to the hot weather.”
