T'way Air Resumes Daegu~Yanji Route Operation... First Time Since COVID-19
Routes with abundant commercial demand... All round-trip seats fully booked on the first day of resumed flights
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] T'way Air announced on the 20th that it has resumed operations on the Daegu~Yanji, China route. This is the first time T'way Air has resumed international flights since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
T'way Air's Daegu~Yanji route operates once a week (Thursday), and in accordance with Chinese quarantine standards, passenger capacity is limited to 142 seats, about 75% of the total seats. Flights departing from Yanji will stop at Daegu Airport for quarantine unification as per government guidelines, and then passengers will enter the country via flights to Incheon International Airport.
Yanji, the capital of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in China, has high business and educational demand between the two countries. On the day the service resumed, all round-trip seats were fully booked.
