[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] One new confirmed case of COVID-19, suspected to be an n-th infection originating from a nightlife establishment, has been reported in Gwangju Metropolitan City, bringing the total number of cases in the region to 247.
According to Gwangju City and Jeonnam Province on the 20th, a female elementary school student in her early teens, referred to as A, residing in Buk-gu, tested positive that morning, becoming the 247th confirmed case in Gwangju.
A was classified as a contact of patient number 226 in Gwangju, who was confirmed positive in connection with the nightlife establishment, and tested positive while under self-quarantine.
The number of confirmed cases related to the Gwangju nightlife establishment has increased to 21, including the initial case reported on the 12th and subsequent n-th infections.
