“Youth Imagination is Busan's Policy” Online Policy Proposal Meeting to be Held
Busan Youth Policy Network to Present Youth Perspectives to Busan City at 7 PM on the 20th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan City will hold the ‘2020 Busan Youth Policy Network Online Policy Proposal Meeting’ from 7 p.m. on the 20th.
The policy proposal meeting was planned as a public forum to listen to and respond to the voices of youth regarding overall city administration, but due to the recent implementation of social distancing level 2 amid the spread of COVID-19 infections, it will be held as an online video conference.
The Youth Network is a citizen participation organization that discusses and proposes various policies from the perspective of youth. This year, about 250 people are participating, and since the first meeting in February, 16 divisions have been actively conducting online and offline activities on various interests.
This year, distinctive topics were covered through various divisions such as urban environment, marine tourism, animal rights, and mental health. In July, policy proposal completeness was enhanced through meetings with relevant officials and expert consulting.
On the 8th, a mutual sharing workshop was held to provide a time for communication and public discussion about the activities conducted by each division.
The policies that the Youth Network will propose to Busan City this year include ▲changing the transportation fare discount method to accumulate transportation big data ▲establishment of Busan City Companion Animal Welfare Center ▲youth mental signal ▲vivid project utilizing idle spaces in urban railroads ▲Busan Youth Job Seek ▲Busan Youth Artist Network Platform ▲expansion of housing supply where youth want to live ▲new concept marine leisure performance ecosystem, among other concrete and meaningful issues.
