Japanese Media: "US-Japan Defense Ministers Plan Meeting on Guam on the 29th"
[Asia Economy Reporter Son Sunhee] Kyodo News reported on the 19th that U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and Japanese Defense Minister Taro Kono are planning an in-person meeting on the 29th.
According to the outlet, Defense Minister Kono is coordinating his schedule to visit the U.S. territory of Guam on the 29th to hold talks with Secretary Esper.
During the meeting, both sides are expected to discuss responses to China’s expanding activities in the South and East China Seas, as well as Japan’s ongoing new missile defense policy.
