View original imageThe Cultural Heritage Administration's Palace and Royal Tombs Headquarters announced on the 19th that all events held at palaces will be suspended due to the resurgence of COVID-19. This includes events such as the Gyeongbokgung Starlight Night Tour and the Suragan Tasting Experience. The ancestral rite scheduled for the 24th at Heereung (Queen Janggyeong, wife of King Jungjong) will also not be held. However, only this month's schedules for the Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour and the Gyeongbokgung Saenggwabang have been canceled. An official explained, "This measure was taken in response to the strengthened social distancing measures implemented in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon," adding, "Tickets already purchased will be refunded." They also stated, "We will announce whether events will resume based on the government's COVID-19 response guidelines."
