635 Billion Won in 'Conditional New Product Development' Contributions in the First Half of This Year
165 Projects Selected Out of 408 Applications
Average Support of 380 Million KRW per Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] The Small and Medium Business Technology Information Promotion Agency announced on the 19th that a total of 63.5 billion KRW in government grants will be provided for projects selected in the first half of this year’s Purchase-Conditioned New Product Development Program.
A total of 408 projects were submitted for the purchase-linked and joint investment free application categories of the Purchase-Conditioned New Product Development Program in the first half of this year. Among them, 165 projects were finally selected. During the project execution period, a total of 63.5 billion KRW in government grants, averaging 380 million KRW per project, will be supported to the respective companies.
The selection rates by technology field for this Purchase-Conditioned New Product Development Program were investigated as follows: 'Mechanical & Materials' 37.6% (62 projects), 'Electrical & Electronics' 20.6% (34 projects), 'Information and Communication' 15.2% (25 projects), 'Chemistry' 12.1% (20 projects), 'Bio-Medical' 9.1% (15 projects), 'Knowledge Services' 3.6% (6 projects), and 'Energy Resources' 1.8% (3 projects).
Applications for the second half of this year’s Purchase-Conditioned New Product Development Program have also been completed. Starting from the 20th, about 350 projects will be selected and supported through evaluation.
