Lotte Construction Develops Residential Space 'AZIT3.0' for the Post-Corona Era
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Lotte Construction announced on the 19th that it will introduce 'AZIT 3.0,' a new residential space unique to Lotte Castle that reflects the lifestyle and consumption culture changes brought about by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Following the COVID-19 outbreak, Lotte Construction recognized the increased interest in hygiene, safety, and indoor air quality, concluding that cleaner and safer homes are necessary. They selected the functions that homes should have in the post-COVID era as this year's residential trends: Safety Home, a safe home; All in Home, a home where everything can be done; and Unique Home, a home tailored to personal tastes. Based on this analysis, Lotte Construction developed the new residential space AZIT 3.0.
AZIT is an interior title defining the unit household concept from four perspectives: indoor safety, efficient storage, customized products, and interior style. It means a personal AZIT that is comfortable, safe, and has value beyond just a home perfectly matching the resident's preferences. Since its debut in 2017, it has evolved further. This AZIT 3.0 introduces five products reflecting the changed lifestyle.
First, they developed and introduced the 'Pure Package,' a built-in appliance product specialized in health and hygiene. It consists of a clothing care device, sterilizer, and storage cabinet, allowing hygienic management of clothes and personal items. In particular, the storage cabinet with a sterilizer can simultaneously eliminate viruses, bacteria, and mold, and it includes a movable shelf and mask hanger inside, enabling hygienic storage of various items as well as masks. The Pure Package enhances corridor space efficiency by integrating hygienic built-in appliances with furniture.
Second, the 'Clean Air System,' specialized in ventilation, is fully introduced. An air shower installed on the entrance ceiling and a vacuum cleaning toolset in the shoe cabinet remove dust from clothes. Additionally, a heat exchange ventilator equipped with a HEPA filter is installed in each room, expelling polluted indoor air and supplying fresh outdoor air, maintaining a more comfortable indoor environment.
Third, reflecting the need to separate bedrooms, workspaces, and study spaces due to telecommuting and online learning, a 'Home Office-type Floor Plan' is introduced. A system furniture set consisting of a desk, bookshelf-type shelves, and drawers is integrated into a large dressing room connected to the master bedroom, allowing it to be used as a study and workspace. Sliding doors are installed to facilitate visual openness and separation. For children's rooms, a 'Home Office-type Floor Plan' with study-type system furniture on the side balcony is available as an option.
Fourth, a wider variety of selectable spaces, furniture, appliances, and finishes are offered to reflect customers' tastes. The 'Living Room Style-up Package,' composed of fabric seat panels reminiscent of hotel lounges, large corridor tiles, and comfortable indirect lighting in the living room, allows for the creation of a luxurious lounge-style living room. Additionally, options such as floor finish selection, bathroom type selection, kitchen style-up package, premium kitchen appliances (dishwasher, wine refrigerator, etc.), and built-in closet selection enhance the home's quality and add practical variety.
Finally, four elegant space designs are proposed. 'COZIT (COZY+AZIT)' features a style with a white base, clean monotone colors, and simple patterns. 'HEALIT (HEALING+AZIT)' is a resort-style design space reflecting natural elements with brown colors and wood patterns reminiscent of nature. 'SMARTIT (SMART+AZIT)' expresses a trendy space with rich interior design featuring white marble patterns and fabric textures. 'INCLUZIT (INCLUSIVE+AZIT)' reinterprets spatial balance by adding warm colors with a free and creative sensibility.
A Lotte Construction official said, “Housing lifestyles and homes are changing due to COVID-19,” and added, “We will continue to analyze social phenomena and conduct research to develop interior products that customers want and introduce customized products that lead market changes and trends.”
