Gwangju Dong-gu Promotes Payment Through Local Tax Mobile Electronic Notification
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) has launched a campaign to promote the application for electronic local tax notification, which allows residents to check and pay local taxes via smartphone apps (KakaoPay, Naver, Payco, etc.) instead of paper tax bills.
According to Dong-gu on the 18th, electronic notification is convenient because users can download the tax bill on a smartphone app, check the details, and easily make payments.
It also reduces the inconvenience of missing payment deadlines due to not receiving paper tax bills on time or losing the bills, and helps save costs associated with issuing paper tax bills.
The electronic notification applies to regular local taxes such as automobile tax, property tax, resident tax, and registration license tax (license portion). Applications can be made through simple payment apps like KakaoPay, Naver, and Payco, financial apps of 13 commercial banks including Gwangju Bank and NongHyup, financial apps of two card companies including Shinhan Card, and the Wetax system.
Electronic delivery will be applied from the month following the application, and a tax credit benefit of 150 KRW per case can be received.
