SK Rent-a-Car Supports Rent-a-Car Services for Small Business Owners and Residents in Flood-Affected Areas
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] SK Rent-a-Car announced on the 18th that it will support residents and small business owners in flood-affected areas by providing rental cars to help flood victims.
SK Rent-a-Car's support plan is divided into assistance for small business owners among residents of special disaster areas and support for all residents. First, SK Rent-a-Car has prepared a monthly support plan for small business owners who suffered flood damage. They have arranged for 100 vehicles, mainly light passenger vans, to be available at a 70% discounted price of 100,000 KRW per month.
Small business owners in flood-affected areas can apply on a first-come, first-served basis through the SK Rent-a-Car customer center from September to the end of October. One additional extension is possible, allowing rental cars to be used at the discounted price for up to two months. Eligible applicants must prove residency in the special disaster area and vehicle flood damage. Required documents include a total loss certificate issued by the insurance company and a vehicle flood damage confirmation issued by the district office or community service center.
For residents of special disaster areas, rental cars can be used throughout inland regions at a 70% discounted daily rate for periods of up to fifteen days. This program is also available for application through the SK Rent-a-Car customer center from today until the end of September. Proof of residency in the special disaster area is required through documents such as a resident registration certificate, driver's license, or resident ID card.
All domestic vehicle models are available for rent, and one additional extension is allowed for a maximum usage period of 30 days. Other rental conditions follow SK Rent-a-Car rental regulations, and detailed information can be found on the customer center or SK Rent-a-Car website.
